Handmade by me, one batch at a time

Quiet, made from beeswax.

Little honeycomb earplugs made from natural beeswax. Warm one in your hand, mould it to your ear, and pop it back in its gold carry case when you're done.

How to wear them

No sizes, no fiddling. Four steps and they're yours.

  1. Step 1

    Warm them up

Hold a honeycomb in your hand for a few seconds. Your body heat is all it takes to soften the wax.

  2. Step 2

    Mould to your ear

Press and shape it to the opening of your ear. It seals softly instead of pushing against you like foam.

  3. Step 3

Too big? Tear a bit off

One size genuinely fits everyone — just pinch off a small piece until it feels right for you.

  4. Step 4

    Clip them on and go

Each set comes with a little gold carry case that clips straight onto your handbag or keys.

About Beehugz

Handmade in Whistler, British Columbia, by founder Belle.

Hello, I'm Belle, the founder of Beehugz. I started Beehugz with the dream of creating earplugs that are comfortable to wear all night and stay securely in place while you sleep — using simple, natural ingredients.

Each pair is handcrafted by me in Whistler, British Columbia, using just four ingredients: beeswax, lanolin, jojoba oil, and cotton. My mission is to create products that are comfortable, reusable, and more environmentally friendly than disposable alternatives.

Unlike foam earplugs that can work their way loose during the night, Beehugz gently mould to the unique shape of your ear. The soft beeswax creates a secure yet comfortable seal, making them a great choice for side sleepers and anyone who moves around in their sleep.

Whether you're looking for a better night's sleep, travelling, attending festivals, working in noisy environments, or simply seeking a little more peace and quiet, I hope Beehugz helps bring you the tranquillity you deserve.

Thank you for supporting my small business. Every order means the world to me and helps keep my dream of creating natural, handmade products alive.

— Belle, founder of Beehugz

What goes into them

Simple, natural materials — and packaging made to be refilled rather than binned.

Beeswax

Friedrich Honey, Vancouver Island

Pure, locally sourced beeswax from Friedrich Honey on Vancouver Island. Their bees forage on wildflowers across the island, and the wax is left raw and unbleached — the reason the plugs soften in your hands and hold their shape once moulded.

Lanolin

SoapyOaks, Texas

Pure, organic grass-fed sheep lanolin with nothing added. It comes from a small flock of ethically raised sheep in Texas; the lanolin is gathered from their fleece during shearing (no harm comes to the animals), then cleaned and purified naturally. Unlike bulk lanolin blended from countless unknown farms, this wool is never exposed to chemicals — parasites are treated with natural products like diatomaceous earth — so the lanolin stays free of irritants and helps Beehugz mould softly to your ear.

Jojoba oil

Ambrosia, Canada

A gentle, plant-derived liquid wax from Ambrosia that closely resembles the natural sebum our skin produces. It adds a smooth, non-greasy finish to the earplugs, helping them glide comfortably into place and stay supple wear after wear. Jojoba oil is naturally stable and slow to oxidize, so it helps keep the beeswax blend fresh without the need for synthetic preservatives.

Natural cotton

Cottonman, Edenton, North Carolina

Grown on a fifth-generation family farm near Edenton, North Carolina. Cottonman specializes in USDA Certified Organic cotton, including their Mavaton X utility fiber, raised and processed using safe, natural methods. The cotton is stripped of its natural oils and waxes without harsh chemicals, so the fibre that runs through each honeycomb stays soft, comfortable and easy to reshape.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers to the things people ask me most at markets.

Do they melt?
No. They're made to warm slightly in your hands so you can mould them, but they hold their shape at room temperature and body temperature.
How long do they last?
They last about the same amount of time as silicone mouldable earplugs.
Can you use them swimming?
Yes, you can use them in water.
Do they get stuck in your ears?
No, they remove easily. The soft beeswax moulds to the opening of your ear rather than sitting deep inside, so you can lift them out gently.
